Alban Auffrey, 64, of Pré-d’en-Haut, died Sunday at his residence following a sudden illness.
Born in Pré-d’en-Haut, he was a son of Hermance (Gaudet) Auffrey and the late Wilfred Auffrey. A farmer, he attended Notre-Dame de l’Annonciation Church, Pré-d’en-Haut. He was a member of the Pré-d’en-Haut Golden Age Club.
He is survived by his wife, the former Eva Bourgeois; two daughters, Simonne and Denise, both of Pré-d’en-Haut; three sons, Marcel of Pré-d’en-Haut, Louis of Barachois, and Michel of Moncton; seven sisters, Elva, Germaine, Ella, and Mrs Mélas Richard, all of Pré-d’en-Haut, Mrs Camille Bourgeois (Mary) of Belliveau Village, Mrs Lorenzo Léger (Edna) of Moncton, and Mrs John R. Léger (Flora) of Dorchester; three brothers, Walter and Alfred, both of Moncton, and Francis of Fitchburg, Mass.; two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
The body is at Dupuis Funeral Home, Memramcook. Funeral service will be held Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Notre-Dame de l’Annonciation with internment in the parish cemetery.
